Beautiful charming spacious house with large terrace. The living area is on the ground floor and has 2 bedrooms, with comfortable beds and blackout blinds or curtains. The house is recently renovated and restored, breathing the charm of former times combined with modern comfort. The kitchen is very complete for preparing meals with a fridge, freezer, over, microwave, dishwasher and stove. Art lovers can enjoy changing exhibits of local artists. A closed off bicycle shed is available for numerous bicycles. Baby cot, chair, toys (indoor and outdoor) are available. Private parking for maximum 2 cars. Busstop at 700m by foot, with buslines going to Leeuwarden / Grou / Heerenveen, connecting to trains.
Claartje and her husband Tido live next door to the accomodation with their 3 sons. Recently moved from The Hague to Friesland, they are excited to share their enthousiasm about the erea. They are ready to help you have an unforgettable stay. Tido loves cycling and is happy to share his favourite routes.
This guesthouse is conveniently located just south of Leeuward, european cultural capital in 2018. It is the perfect place to discover the city, the beautiful province of Leeuwarden with its gorgeous, typical Dutch nature. Numerous hiking paths (such as Jabikspaad) as well as cycling routes pass through Wirdum. Discovering nature by boat is an option, as Wirdum has its own boat rental. Other worthwhile visits are National Park De Alde Feanen (16km), cute watersports villages such as Grou, Akkrum, Sneek, Terherne...etc. Various restaurants in the proximity, with restaurant Duhoux accross the street or Oan Tafel on biking distance in Wergea. As of september, the musical 'de Tocht' will be featured, at only 7km distance.
