Would you like to have a special experience in an real woonwagen? Well, you can have it with us! We have a guesthouse called Woonwagen Wadkovice. It is placed in a beautiful and private garden near the Waddenzee in the famous village of Pieterburen. You can use the garden for having breakfast, sunbathing, making a fire or pitch you hammock in between two trees. We offer you a place with all the comfort you have at home but then ... On wheels!
We can tell all our guest from the bottom of our hart that our woonwagen is so special because it has been our cosy house for about eight years. After it became a guesthouse we improved it with al larger bathroom and an extra bedroom with a bunkbed. Large enough for adult (normal size) but for children a very adventurous experience.
Like we said, the village of Pieterburen is famous in Holland. That is because of the so called 'Zeehondencreche Pieterburen'. A place where sick seals of orphan baby seals are captured. But this is not all Pieterburen has to offer. A lot of people come here to have a nature experience like 'wadlopen' (walk over the bottom of the sea with low tide), walking, birdwatching, visit the islands in de Waddenzee (Borkum/Schiermonnikoog) or sail on the Waddenzee. There are also a lot site seeing things to do and you can visit the city Groningen, also called 'The Amsterdam of the North' because of its small streets, lots of bars and cafe's and canals. For kis Pieterburen is a very joyful place to go to especially in summer. The seal sanctuary they will definitely like but also the big go-cart track (skelterbaan), the cableway and nature playground.
