One hundred meters above the Åptafjord is the small, charming house of Lille Gjersdal. Stepping into the historic building from the end of the 19th century gives you an experience of an ancient era. The house has a charming feel and is built of timber walls, painted surfaces, and wallpaper.
Lille Gjersdal is nicely and openly located between the mountains and has good sun conditions all day. There are good hiking opportunities between the fjords Åptafjorden and Framvaren. Here you have a unique opportunity to relax in natural surroundings and at the same time be 15 minutes drive from Farsund center.
The place was a gathering place for the farmer, his wife, and their five children, and it was the most important thing to have many beds. Lille Gjersdal has two double beds, two single beds, and two cots. With on-site farming, pets like dogs and cats are welcome, and we want to be true to this tradition.
In 1915, electricity was installed for Farsund municipality, which also exists in Lille Gjersdal today. Still, there is no running water or internet on-site, which may contribute to historical time travel.
