This unique apartment is located by the sea in the beautiful old part of Stamsund. From the panoramic windows or the spacious terrace you can watch the coastal steamer dock and depart every night. In the summertime, pick herbs from the garden or in the winter stay warm in front of the wood-burning stove. This cozy hideout is attached to Rokkvika Porselensfabrikk, the studio of acclaimed ceramic artist Gunvor Tangrand, and every piece of tableware in the apartment is handmade by her. The combined living room and kitchen has panoramic windows overlooking the sea, a wood-burning stove, TV and a big comfy sofa. The kitchen part is well equipped with pots and pans, a dining table that seats 8 people and handmade ceramics. Bathroom: Spacious bathroom with heated floors, bathtub/shower and washing machine and dryer. Bedroom 1: King size bed with tempura matress. Bedroom 2: Queen size bed Bedroom 3: Single bed The apartment has a small private garden with a playhouse for kids, a fire pit and fresh growing herbs and veggies in the summertime. The garden connects to a large terrace overlooking the sea. The nearest grocery store is only a 3 minute walk from the apartment, and the Live Lofoten Hotel with its restaurant and pub, is even closer by.

Stamsund is a charming fishing village with a rich history built on the worlds largest cod fisheries. In later years it has also attracted a number of artists, making Stamsund a cultural hotspot in Lofoten. A number of theater groups, painters and ceramists reside and work here. Old historical buildings and the traditional red fishermans cabins give Stamsund its visual flavor, and beautiful surroundings invite exploring both on land and sea. Mountain hikes: Stunning views are available even on the relatively short hike to Kattberget, and it only gets better as you continue to Mannfallet and Steinetinden. Beware, that these trails are quite steep and should not be made on wet days, for your own safety. There is a pub and a restaurant in the nearby Live Lofoten Hotell and 2 grocery stores where you can stock up for your stay. Situated in the middle island of Lofoten, Stamsund is a great starting point for day-trips to explore the Lofoten Islands.
