OPEN FOR BOOKING MARCH 1st, 2025 Solheim is located on a private peninsula on the islands of Lofoten.  Situated at the end of a road with the ocean clinging to three sides, the house is surrounded by over 70.000 m2 (17 acres) of private forest, farmed land, beaches, hilltops and gardens. With mountains tall and small in every direction it is the perfect location for skiing, hiking, cycling and climbing adventures. Set out to sea for world class fishing, kayaking, whale spotting or a delve into clear, blue waters. This area of outstanding natural beauty is our playground. The villa consists of four mezzanine levels with a large, double hight living room with fireplace, fully equipped kitchen and dining space with access to the terrace on the top floor. From the terrace you have views in all directions, and sun throughout the day. On the ground floor you will find two double bedrooms, one single bedroom and a beautifully tiled bathroom with shower and original renovated interior. There are two double daybeds that sleep 4 extra people in the living room if needed. On the lower floor you have access to a fully functional laundry room, storage space, workshop and food cellar, in addition to one extra toilet. The generous carport provides sheltered entry.

Solheim farm was taken over by the Grundel family in 2018. With help from local craftsmen they have carefully renovated the old barn to a luxury family villa. The couple have travelled widely and Dag has lived most of his life abroad. He brings with him a touch of warmer climates to these arctic conditions. Architect Synne practiced in New York and Oslo before retreating to the north. She has been insistent on keeping as much as possible of the old structure in order to preserve its history. As keen mountaineers, foodies and adventurers they are happy to help you make your stay memorable.

Digermulen is a small village on the beautiful islands of Lofoten. The place is widely renowned for its untamed, lush nature with high peaks and turquoise waters. For those how seek a quiet, untouched escape to the arctic, Digermulen is the perfect landing spot. The closest airport and city centre is Svolvær, about 1 hour drive from the property. Here you will find restaurants, tourist info and local services. There is a 24-hour shop, church and filling station about 5 minutes drive from the house. Boat trips and other activities can be arranged on request.
