The Vicarage The property is remote and beautifully located by Flakstad Church, about 3 km east of the village center of Ramberg. The house was built in 1930 as a residence for the priest of Flakstad Church and used to house church coffees and other activities associated with the church. It was a functioning vicarage right up until the 1990s. The church in Flakstad is a very beautiful, old wooden church. According to legend, in 1430 a Scottish timber ship on a trip from Russia was wrecked on the outer side of Lofoten. The timber drifted ashore on Flakstad beach. Thus, the church site was designated, and the building was erected. Several of the objects in today's church originate from the old church, including two chandeliers, the altarpiece and the pulpit. The vicarage was bought by the current owner in 2005 and was in very poor condition. A major renovation was then carried out and the vicarage has been in private use and rented out since. The house has been significantly renovated in the last year. The house offers 7 spacious bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, several living rooms, a large dining room with seats for 16 people and a unique well-equipped kitchen with AGA 5-chamber stove.
