At Berghei gård, the Berghei family farm, you will probably notice more animals than neighbours. As we have recently moved in, the local wildlife has taken hold of our surroundings; does, squirrels, owls, foxes, hares, lynx, rodents, etc. The farm is conveniently located between Rjukan town center and the Vemork Power Station, with forest paths and hiking trails linking us with the town center (via the Krossobanen Cable Car landing) and the nearby Hardangervidda National Park. Up the valley you will also find Krokan, the Norwegian Trekking Association's first cabin. It recently celebrated 150 years. Further up you will also find Skinnarbu, the Hardangervidda National Park Center. Feel free to explore our scenic surroundings by foot, skis or bikes, thanks to the Norwegian right of public access ("Allemannsretten").
