This spacious and inviting four-bedroom home is set in a peaceful part of town, yet remains within easy walking distance of the central village. Designed for comfort and convenience, the home features a modern open-plan kitchen, dining, and lounge area with a cosy log fire, two heat pumps, and additional electric heaters in each bedroom—ensuring year-round comfort. The main living area opens out to a sunny deck, ideal for relaxing and enjoying the fresh air. A second lounge area offers a quiet retreat for reading or a fun break-out space for children. The layout includes a master bedroom with ensuite just off the main lounge, while the remaining three bedrooms—including a child-friendly room with bunk beds—and the main bathroom are located at the opposite end of the house. This property is accessible, featuring wide entryways, gently sloped ramps, and a flat entry. Both bathrooms are equipped with wet floor showers, making access safe and easy for guests with mobility needs. The layout is single-level throughout, allowing for seamless movement within the home.

Neighbourhood information

Hanmer Springs is a lovely small village set in an alpine environment on the edge of the Southern Alps in the South Island of New Zealand. The village is located at an altitude of approximately 400 metres (1300 feet). This provides a crisp clear climate, with snow falling during winter on several occasions. The geothermal nature of the area has provided the beautiful Thermal Springs Reserve in which to relax, and it is second to none other in New Zealand. The combination of the colder climate and the thermal pools normally sitting at 25-42 degrees Celsius, or 77-18 degrees Fahrenheit is both invigorating and relaxing. The lucky guests get to soak in the thermal pools when it is snowing (for no extra charge) - how lucky are they?
