The house has wonderful views across the entire valley to the river and mountains, and is just a short walk to the alpine village with its plethora of excellent restaurants, and the famous thermal pools. Located at the top of Conical Hill Road so it has beautiful views across the village of Hanmer Springs, the flood plains, and across to the mountains which are simply breath-taking, and provide a never-ending source of relaxation to the viewer. Reverse cycle air conditioning throughout ensures that temperatures inside make life comfortable, when those outside aren't so friendly. The living area is double glazed, to retain a stable environment. The 3 bedrooms, kitchen, living area and deck give you plenty of room to move, and being only 500 metres to the shopping centre, and 1 kilometre from the Thermal Pools, it's an easy stroll down the hill. Hanmer Springs is a lovely small village set in an alpine environment on the edge of the Southern Alps in the South Island of New Zealand. The village is located at an altitude of approximately 400 metres (1300 feet). This provides a crisp clear climate, with snow falling during winter on several occasions. The geothermal nature of the area has provided the beautiful Thermal Springs Reserve in which to relax, and it is second to none other in New Zealand. The combination of the colder climate and the thermal pools normally sitting at 25-42 degrees Celsius, or 77-18 degrees Fahrenheit is both invigorating and relaxing. The lucky guests get to soak in the thermal pools when it is snowing (for no extra charge) - how lucky are they?
