This iconic home is situated in St James Ave only a hop skip and jump to the pools. Step into the modern charm this home oozes. This spacious 5 bedroom home that can sleep up to 12 people is something quite special. The home has three levels. On entry level from the front door there is all living areas, the kitchen and media room with a DVD player and movies along with two bedrooms with king beds. Down the stairs towards the garage and laundry is the double single bunk room and upstairs there are a further two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and ensuite and the other with a double bed and a single bed. There is also a hairdryer provided for your own convenience. The home has been tastefully decorated throughout with a modern retro twist. The bedding is all top quality with wool duvets to keep you snuggly and warm in winter. In the main lounge and dining area it is heated by a log fire and a heat pump is situated in the hall area to keep the entry level bedrooms warm. There is also table fans to keep you cooler in the summer months. The property is fenced for children and also has a lovely outdoor area under a pergola. Minimum two nights stay on weekends and holidays please.

Neighbourhood information

Hanmer Springs is a lovely small village set in an alpine environment on the edge of the Southern Alps in the South Island of New Zealand. The village is located at an altitude of approximately 400 metres (1300 feet). This provides a crisp clear climate, with snow falling during winter on several occasions. The geothermal nature of the area has provided the beautiful Thermal Springs Reserve in which to relax, and it is second to none other in New Zealand. The combination of the colder climate and the thermal pools normally sitting at 25-42 degrees Celsius, or 77-18 degrees Fahrenheit is both invigorating and relaxing. The lucky guests get to soak in the thermal pools when it is snowing (for no extra charge) - how lucky are they?
