Situated on the edge of the central town opposite the medical centre, rugby grounds, playground and netball/tennis courts, this home is just a stone throw from some of Hanmer Springs's greatest assets. As you step into this home you are greeted by spacious open planned living areas that face towards a rural outlook over neighbouring paddocks and surrounding mountains. The home is very comfortable with various extras such as a Smart TV with a Chromecast, DVD player, a dishwasher in the kitchen and a range of books. The homeowners have supplied a good supply of extra blankets for winter bedding. During the winter months the home has a log fire complete with a fireguard that you can tuck up next to, or as it gets warmer slide back the ranch slider doors and enjoy the large backyard area. There is a fantastic outdoor area setup with an inbuilt gas BBQ, picnic table and other outdoor entertaining features. Please note that the washing machine is a front loader and therefore requires low sudsing powder/liquid.

Neighbourhood information

Hanmer Springs is a lovely small village set in an alpine environment on the edge of the Southern Alps in the South Island of New Zealand. The village is located at an altitude of approximately 400 metres (1300 feet). This provides a crisp clear climate, with snow falling during winter on several occasions. The geothermal nature of the area has provided the beautiful Thermal Springs Reserve in which to relax, and it is second to none other in New Zealand. The combination of the colder climate and the thermal pools normally sitting at 25-42 degrees Celsius, or 77-18 degrees Fahrenheit is both invigorating and relaxing. The lucky guests get to soak in the thermal pools when it is snowing (for no extra charge) - how lucky are they?
