South St is the historical street of Nelson and Alice Cottage @ 2D South St, is definitely "in period" (but with all the mod cons included). Lovely comfortable queen size beds, a pull chain toilet, claw bath, swing sky light for ventilation, heat pumps upstairs and down, coffee machine and full kitchen provided, free offstreet parking and a lovely private courtyard for afternoon teas. And if you wander out, a close stroll to the best restaurants and bars in Nelson City. If you feel in the mood, end of the street is the Nelson Cathedral to discover and then the famous Saturday morning Farmers Market is around the corner.
I've been airbnb'ing Alice Cottage since 2022 and recently joined up with Booking. Com. I've got 3 adult kids around NZ and I live locally. For business I travel some mainly to ChCh. I'm a memebr of one of the rugby clubs which I help sponsor as well as many causes around Nelson and NZ. And in Summer, I still play some cricket - some of it social and some more serious.
Guests like how central the place is to the city and the quaintness of the street and the townhouse.
