My two story property is set well back from the road in a beautiful, secluded landscaped garden. There is a wonderful view of the surrounding vineyards and the Richmond range when you climb up to my delightful raised orchard area. I bought this property four years ago and have created a beautiful setting out of an overgrown wilderness. I have completely renovated both inside and outside. It is double glazed, with both a heat pump and a log burner which creates a lovely ambiance during the winter months. The guest bathroom has just been renovated.
I love taking long walks with Charlie and Elliot, my friendly, devoted dogs. I spend most of my time in my delightful garden and further enhancing the decor of my home. I hosted overseas students for 20 years which lead me to the concept of creating a small, homely, welcoming BnB. I have worked as a high school teacher, specializing in languages. I have an eclectic taste in music, which I play constantly. I love cooking, experimenting with new recipes. I am a qualified dressmaker.
I moved from Christchurch four years ago to escape the aftermath of the earthquakes looking for a place with peace, serenity and a country feeling, and Renwick has provided me with everything I dreamed of. This small country town is restful, friendly and has all basic amenities at hand. Yet it is only 10 minutes to Blenheim, 20 minutes to Picton, and you can drive over the hill to lovely Nelson in just an hour and a half. The airport is just a few minutes from my home. There are numerous wine trails and walking tracks.
