Perfectly positioned just one minute from Lake Taupō’s shoreline, this 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartment is the ideal base for adventure. Please note, the bedroom configuration is: Bedroom 1: 1 x Queen Bed Bedroom 2: 2 x Single Beds Swim, paddleboard, or kayak right at the lake’s edge, then come home to modern open-plan living and all the comforts you need. With two bathrooms, it’s easy for groups or families to spread out. After a big day exploring Taupō’s mountain bike trails, geothermal parks, or adrenaline-filled activities, cool off in the communal pool and recharge for the next adventure. Please note, the apartment does not currently include a washing machine or clothes dryer - local laundromat facilities are included in a guide provided before check in. Taupo has many laundromats with large high speed washing machines and dryers. If you need a hand locating one, please don't hesitate to give us a call and we can point you in the right direction. A little about Taupō Located on New Zealand’s North Island, Taupō is a situated on the shores of Lake Taupō, which is the second largest lake by surface area in Oceania. The lake was created approximately 27,000 years ago by a violent volcanic eruption. Lake Taupō is located in a region rich with natural beauty, with lots to see and do, making it the perfect place to explore. Because of its location along a volcanic belt, geothermal activity has created a plethora of natural hot springs and pools that are waiting to be explored. You’ll find both free pools and geothermal parks in the locality. Aside from soaking yourself in the warm volcanic waters, there’s also a great deal of hiking to be done in the area. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can hike on Mt Ngauruhoe and Mt Tongariro. Taupo truly is the adventure capital of the North Island, with everything including skydiving, bungy jumping, jet boating, and mountain biking on offer.
