Welcome to Base Camp Cottage, a Character 40's Taupo Bach lovingly dragged into the nows, flat lawns and outside decks and Patio, Outdoor furniture, positioned for the Sun and warmed amazingly by a new Ethos Fireplace in the cooler months (firewoods free and dry). Fully fenced so keeps in the little ones and the Furry family and easy access in a quiet street 400 metres down the hill to the beach, 2 minutes walk to a great local Restaurant and Bar, Dairy and great Takeaways. The Base Camp Cottage is exactly that, not pretentious and a place to relax with a decoration style that is High Country New Zealand which is a reflection of us and our interests really.
Sal and I are excited to have you here at the Cottage as we too love to travel and explore. Sal's corporate role means she is flying all over the world and Cliffys roles take his love of the outdoors into the realm of helping others all over New Zealand discover ways of being a volunteer that makes a difference. Together with our Lab pup Alfie and the four boys we like to get to Taupo and its amazing surrounds South of Taupo , Turangi, and the Tongariro National Park.
A safe and well regarded area in Taupo with simply the best neighbours in New Zealand! Minutes to The Grasshopper Takeaways, Hilltop Dairy, Hair and Nails shop, Hairdressers and the highly rated Mole and Chicken Restaurant and Bar, a bus stop one street away, the Lake Terrace Beach 400 metres away, Flat streets and great to Bike around.
