Set amongst mature pohutukawa trees, close to restaurants, shops and Aquatic Centre with hydro-slide, Belt Road is the perfect accommodation option for work or play

Moturoa is a suburb in New Plymouth. It is located four kilometres west of central New Plymouth on the coast. Europeans initially came to the New Plymouth area in 1828 to set up a trading post between Europeans and the local Māori. The first residential settlers arrived into the area in 1841, after which land disputes arose between the Europeans and the local iwi. In the 1860s New Plymouth served as a fortified garrison town during the First Taranaki War. After this was resolved, settlement grew throughout the area. Today Moturoa is a busy port town with a wide range of homes, including townhouses, modest family homes and modern family homes dotting the hillside, commanding beautiful views of the port and nearby sea. Moturoa contains a shopping centre that has a pharmacy, a dairy, a bank, a women’s fashion store and other specialty stores. Moturoa is also home to a wide range of cafés and restaurants
