Ross & Michael,welcome you to our home and B&B . We are well traveled and like to hear about your trips overseas and what and where you are going in N.Z,. We can help you with your travel plans in N.Z .We are ex hotel operators, worked in the airline industry,owned and operated 2 family private rest homes,. Michael is a private pilot .Ross enjoys painting and collecting things! ,we have owned and operated a tour company in town for 6 years, ., We welcome you to Coromandel town, where we can make your stay a pleasant safe stop -over. It is strongly recommend you need 3 days in Coromandel town to see all there is to explore and do here. We can plan your time here , advise you of day outings, why not go fishing from a charter boat ,includes rods, toilet ,tea/coffee , take your lunch , they fillet the catch for you, to bring back to the B&B Enjoy.........

Property information

Our bedroom units, built of solid brick ,& tile roof are fully insulated,and separate from the home,which gives you a private unit.They are overlooking the immaculate gardens and grounds ,surrounded by bush and trees .We are a 1 min drive, or a 10 min walk to the town center. There are many excellent restaurants & coffee places in town with 2 yummy fish & chip shops,a fantastic bakery , 3 big eating place's,The Top Pub,the Bottom Pub and the Star & Garter ,there is a supermarket , called 4 Square, with a very good selecion of anything you may need. We offer laundry service. We have lived in Coromandel Town for many years,we know all the places to visit and things to do and see.We strongly advise you to look at ,a full day tour to the top of the peninsular including a 3-4 hour casual walk overlooking the Pacific Ocean and or hire an E bike from the same company,best way to enjoy the natural pace of life in our town ,there are many local casual walks taking about 50 mins to 1.5 hrs, we are PET FRIENDLY. We strongly recommend a min of 3 a day stay to see and enjoy all there is to do.

Neighbourhood information

Driving Creek Railway is approx a 3min drive from the B&B takes about 1 hour to the top of the mountain lookout and back. A guided walk about the town, with a full commentary called, Boom,Bust & Beyond, learn heaps about the local town great for fantastic photos., from the info centre. The Water Works, 4km from the B&B. have heaps of fun and this is for anyone of any age, and a chance to swim in the cool river hole . The Lost Spring at Whitianga, 53km from the B&B, mineral hot pools ,massage , great food. Rapaura Water gardens, at Tapu,25km 1/2 way up the coast road from Thames to Coromandel Town Glass bottom boat at Whitianga stunning 1/2 day trip or less at ,"Glass Bottom Boats Cathedral Cove Cruise". And the best cafe food place on the Coromandel peninsular for everyone is" Hereford " N" a pickle" its only 30 mins north of Coromandel town . Hot Water Beach and Cathedral Cove are 1.5hrs away. Whangapoua Beach,15km from the B&B , NEW CHUMS BEACH the Best Beach in NZ Enjoy your stay.
