We are a small beef farm in the north of the Waikato region. Our camping spot overlooks a vast wetland and is completely private. It feels very remote although you are only 8kms from State Highway 1. We are only 1 hour from Auckland International Airport and 45 minutes from The Base shopping complex in Hamilton. It's a 1hour trip to Thames in the Coromandel or to Matamata where you can hop on the Hobbiton bus.
I've been in IT for over 30 years but I also love being outdoors hence owning our farm. We have a large orchard and I enjoy growing and gardening. I love sharing our unique spot with our visitors.
Te Kauwhata - our nearest village and home to Graham Norton's wine bottling plant - has a supermarket, vet, bakeries and Pepler's Fine Foods. There is also our local country pub at Rangiriri which serves lovely pub meals and has a beer garden and live music. Next door to the pub is a lovely cafe that does amazing breakfast and brunch meals with great coffee. Hampton Downs race track and go karts is only 20 minutes drive north and we are 1 hour from Thames, Hobbiton's bus , or The Base shopping complex.
