Situated just 3km from Westport, Carters Beach Bed & Breakfast at 1 McIntyre Road, has newly refurbished extra large king deluxe rooms, one with ensuite & other their own bathroom. Just a short walk to Carters Beach, Golf Course & Donaldo's Cafe & Bar. Our new Cycle/Walking track takes you through from Carters Beach to Westport, taking in the wonderful Buller River and bush scenery. We offer tea and coffee making facilities, Continental Breakfast, and car parking is available on site. We do NOT offer cooking facilities.

Keith & Ros welcome travellers from all walks of life, and particularly those who love the outdoors, either walking, cycling or motorcycling. We are both avid motorcyclists, love the New Zealand roads and to explore our beautiful country.

Carters Beach is a wonderful West Coast walking and cycling experience. The newly opened Kawatiri Coastal Trail now goes through from Carters Beach to Westport, taking in the beautiful native bush & Buller River. Riparian planting has been carried out by our wonderful local Council, and the scenery is captivating. Just 11km up the road is Cape Foulwind with Lighthouse and the Seal Colony on the north side of Tauranga Bay is a must to see and experience. A forty minute walk can take you through from the Lighthouse to Tauranga Bay, which boasts being one of New Zealand's best surfing beaches. The township of Westport is a mere 3 km down the road, where they have wonderful cafes, eateries, and two supermarkets. The RSA and Buller Cosmopolitan Club both have full dining facilities and we can highly recommend them both.
