Peaceful, relaxing environment. Handy to many beaches and historical mining locations. Waihi township is only a 5 minute walk and Waihi Beach is a 10 minute easy drive. The quaintness and laidback people add to the value of the area . We have a park opposite our cottage with large protected oak trees surrounding it. The Waihi and Waihi Beach RSA is also easy to locate for a lovely meal, or use the facilities of the pubs and takeaway shops available here. We have lots of brochures and maps for you to read about what is happening here and in the surrounding areas, from Coromandel down to Mt Maunganui. Come and see what I mean. Our names are Leigh and Steve and we have lived in this lovely miner's cottage with sleep out facilities at the back of the property for 12 months, having moved from Hamilton to Waihi for the lifestyle it offers us as we enter our retirement. Our main objective is for you to enjoy your stay here. We would be happy to help in anyway to make this happen.
