Situated in a quiet cul-de-sac in Mosgiel, Dunedin, nestled in a tranquil tree lined garden, which attracts an abundance of birdlife, this Ground floor Guest Suite is a peaceful retreat. Only 16 minutes from Dunedin International Airport and 13 minutes’ drive to the City Centre. Mosgiel is a sattelite town in Dunedin, but certainly does not lack in great shopping, restaurants, takeaways and cafe's, all within walking distance, Supermarket is a mere 5 minute for fresh produce and groceries. Wal's Plantland, in Bush Road has a mini Golf course, The Topairy Cafe' there offers a delightful breakfast or lunch. There are Golf couses near by - JTees is a public golf course in Mosgiel, if you prefer the real deal. King size bed in the bedroom, with 100% cotton / percale linen, Feather & Down Duvet, an electric blanket (for the odd chilly night). Wall heater, and ample cupboard space. Garden View. A separate lounge has a comfy double sofa bed (linen provided). Flat screen television, extendable dining table, Heater, ample cupboard space and a garden view. Shower, separate toilet. Basic toiletries included for your use including toilet paper and towels. The Kitchenette is well equipped with a fridge, microwave oven, electric frying pan, glasses, cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils. Tea, coffee, sugar, olive oil, salt & pepper etc, for your use during your stay. Iron and Ironing board, washing machine, first aid kit, fire extinguisher, smoke alarm and extractor fan fitted. Office/ workspace - unlimited free WIFI included. Dedicated on site guest parking. Self-check in - or we are happy to meet and greet you as our guests!!
Welcome to Dunedin !! We love the South Island, with an abundance of wildlife, exciting trails, beautiful landscapes and magnificent fauna. Steve and I live upstairs with our rather shy and human unsociable cat "Honey", it's doubtful you will see her often during your stay, but if you do have the pleasure, please be kind. If you need help - sing out ! Steve works from home and will be available to assist. Having a great respect for all living things, our recent move to the "Deep South" is a continuous adventure !
So much to do in Dunedin !! Just to mention a few : Take a day trip to the Lanarch Castele, beautiful gardens, or tour the castle - high and Tea is now served daily in the Ballroom at 3pm. * 9.3km from Mosgiel - The Tunnel Beach Walk is a stone walk through farmland and along the beach cliffs to Tunnel Beach, sea rock piles, arches and oddly shaped rocks that are masterpieces of the wild Pacific Ocean. * 11.9km away - The Octagon Square is located at the junction of Prince Street and George Street. It is a more lively area in Dunedin. Since 1846, the Octagon Square has been the city centre of Dunedin. Around the Octagon, there are the Gothic St. Paul's Church, the City Council Hall, the Tourist Service Centre, green spaces and several main avenues leading in all directions. It is also the commercial centre of Dunedin, with numerous shops and restaurants. * 12km - Dunedin Chinese Garden - The buildings in the garden are surrounded by mountains and rivers. The environment here is quiet and the scenery is pleasant. It is a good place for leisure and strolling. * Only 11.7km away - Catlins Coastal heritage Trail - is now a walking track along the beach. Use the pier to the other end of the road, along the beautiful coastal scenery, stop to enjoy the sea view with seals, sea lions. * The Dunedin Botanical Garden - which covers an area of about 28 hectares, with over 6000 plant species - a mere 13km away. * Baldwin St. Dunedin, is the steepest inhabited street in the world. worth a look at. 14.6km from Mosgiel * St. Clair, on Otago Harbour is New Zealand's popular city beach and a premier surfing spot 12km away * The Royal Albatross Centre at Taiaroa Head is the world's largest continental albatross breeding centre. Just a 50-minute drive from Dunedin city centre. * Dunedin also has many museums and art galleries to explore !! * Otago's Farmers Market every Saturday - at the Northern Carpark - Dunedin railway station Adventure awaits !!
