We hope you feel at home in our guest suite! Lower level unit below our main house where we live. Please note, this is a studio apartment (NOT separate rooms!). This space is best for 1-2 people, but can snugly accommodate up to 4 on the pull out sofa bed. The sofa bed is small, and recommended for children. Please note that we live next to the motorway, and you can hear some of this noise from inside the unit. Our place is very much in an urban setting, so if you are looking for a quiet experience, this may not be the place for you. Please also note that we live at the bottom of a steep hill, which you will have to climb to reach the train station, buses and Kingsland Centre if this may be an issue for you (15 minute walk). This is a downstairs unit that still receives some sunlight. We are happy to accommodate you if you want to drop your bags before 3pm check in. Queen size bed with new linens and lovely garden view of our feijoa and plum trees (which you are free to help yourself to when in season!) Fold-out double size sofa bed in lounge area. PLEASE NOTE: There is no hot plate in this unit, kettle, microwave and toaster oven only. Bathroom has shower, washer and dryer in the unit for your private use. NOTE: We live upstairs with our small family. NO PARTIES OR ILLEGAL ACTIVITY WILL BE TOLERATED. There are security cameras located outside the unit to monitor who is entering/exiting the unit.
Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, I moved to Auckland in 2015 to join my partner Aaron (who is from NZ). We have a beautiful daughter. I love being outdoors, good craft beer and wine, cycling and music!
Kingsland is a hip residential neighbourhood with coffee roasters, brewpubs and wine bars, many of which host live music nights. New North Road has popular spots for brunch and New Zealand’s beloved meat pies, as well as trendy vintage clothes stores. Nearby Eden Park stadium hosts cricket and rugby matches, and the district borders Arch Hill Scenic Reserve, a vast green space with walking and mountain biking trails. Centrally located and is close to Auckland CBD, Ponsonby and Grey Lynn Neighbourhoudds.
