Set on a secluded rural property on the east side of the Teviot Valley with great views of Mt Benger, it's a 3-bedroom cottage we have recently had renovated . - one bedroom has a king bed and the other bedroom has a super king bed, with the 3rd bedroom with twin single beds. There are a range of farm animals on the property including horses, sheep, dogs and chickens to mingle with and there is also a vehicle available on request to get to town or we can drop guests off at the local watering hole. The Clutha Gold Cycle Trail is approximately 500 meters from our front gate there are many good fishing spots along the Clutha River for trout and salmon. Lake Onslow is out from Millers Flat which is a popular fishing spot. Bullock Track is an advanced walk up the Mt Benger hill with spectacular views. There is a boat ramp at the Roxburgh Dam with an old mining camp between Roxburgh and Alexandra that is only accessible by boat.
Bruce and Vicki are excited about the opening of Ladysmith Cottage and will endure to make you welcome on arrival and cater for all your needs while you are staying here.
We have had experience in the hospitality business running a backpackers in Taihape before moving to the South Island 12 years ago with their three children and have enjoyed the quiet town of Roxburgh.
Bruce has a fencing business and Vicki is a District Nurse based at Dunstan Hospital in Clyde, so will have the help of a manager at times when we are both busy at work.
Ladysmith Road is a quiet lifestyle neighborhood 3.2kms from the main Centre of Roxburgh. It is a no exit road which leads to the Clutha Gold Cycle Trail and the Clutha River.
