Enjoy gorgeous 180 degree views from the deck, spanning Little Barrier Island around to farmland. Off-street parking for your boat and car. Walking distance or a few minutes drive to the Leigh Sawmill Cafe and on to Goat Island just 10 minutes away. Two lovely bedrooms, 1 Queen (TV and DVD) and 1 Double, suitable for couples, family or singles. We only take 1 booking at a time, so if you are a couple you will have privacy. You will have your own bathroom, toilet and separate lounge with TV and Netflix for your use. Two deck areas to enjoy views around Leigh. Extensive continental breakfast is included and a treat of homemade toffee on arrival and fruit in your room. Tea and coffee are available any time and use of microwave, toaster and coffee plunger. We are close to Goat Island Marine Reserve, a famous snorkeling area. Daniels Reef, Pakiri Beach and Tawharanui for surfing and Matheson Bay for diving and family friendly swimming. Close to Matakana village for the farmers market, shops, cinema and range of restaurants. Lots of fantastic coastal walks at the doorstep. Since Pest Free Leigh began its trapping programme there has been an explosion of birdlife here for nature enthusiasts. Take an evening drive to Tawharanui and as it gets dark look for some of the resident kiwi there. (A red torch is a big help). Beautiful night sky. Enjoy our immaculately landscaped property.

Hi from Ross and Penny, we moved to Leigh in 2015 and have been given a warm welcome from all the locals. Our photo is from our 2016 wedding at the Leigh Hall! We love being part of this community. Both keen on keeping fit and healthy, we love swimming, reading, travel, food and making our visitors feel at home. Involved in Pest Free Leigh. Coastal Care Group and the Leigh Community Club (building and maintaining local walking tracks and facilities). We are delighted to have a local cinema at Matakana as we love movies and the many great gigs close to home at the Leigh Sawmill Café, Whangateau Folk Club and Ascension Vineyard. We've both travelled, Ross more extensively than Penny and have a great interest in other cultures. Not fluent but Penny has a reasonable ability to speak French, plus a little Japanese and Dutch. We know the area well and are pleased to provide advice and brochures on any activities you are interested in. We look forward to meeting you and helping you feel at home.

Leigh is a warm, welcoming, happy and relaxed place to visit and spend some time. The town sits above the beautiful Leigh Harbour surrounded by a pohutukawa tree lined coast. Great swimming beaches are just a walk or short drive away. Enjoy Leigh Harbour for fishing, kayaking, boating, stand-up paddle boarding. This area is famous for snorkeling, surfing and scuba diving. There are beautiful coastal and native bush walking tracks at your doorstep. Close by enjoy beach life at Matheson Bay, looking out to Tawharanui, both firm favourites for many. Pakiri Beach and Daniels Reef, with their well known surf breaks are nearby. Stay with us and be close to the area's many activities such as the Glass Bottom Boat trips and the Marine Discovery Centre at Goat Island, Ti Point Reptile Park, golf courses, the renown Matakana Sculptureum and Brick Bay sculpture park. The Leigh area, known as the snapper capital of New Zealand is surrounded by stunning coastal scenery and walking tracks. It is also full of culture with restaurants, fantastic movie theatre, wineries, great shopping, art galleries, retro shops and lots more.
