This self-catered holiday cottage is fully enclosed and offers free off-street parking. The historic, architecturally designed cottage has two co-joined bedrooms separated by a reading alcove, a dining area, a kitchen, one bathroom, washing machine and a flat-screen DVD player with a large selection of movies, A recreational area containing a playground, basketball court, skateboard park and BBQs is located directly opposite the cottage. Fishing can be enjoyed within close proximity of the cottage and the beach is patrolled by Surf Rescue. The nearest international airport is Palmerston North International Airport, 78.9 km from Monday Seaside Cottage. Whanganui also has its own airport with regular services to the main cities and it is one hour and forty minutes by car to the nearest ski field.

Whanganui is a delightful provincial riverside town that has retained much of its' early 20th century character. It would have the best 'Victorian Era' main street in New Zealand. Castlecliff Beach enjoys the status of being a seaside recreational area. There is a lovely cafe called 'The Citadel' located on the recently enhanced main street. It is a great place to hang out. Favourite activities include swimming at the beach, ice-creams from the diary, walking in the coastal reserve and along the beautiful beach.
