Park View 'home away from home 'is a fully self contained, spacious (65 sqmt), downstairs flat. It compares to a family home or flat and is often described by guests as 'feeling homely'. Entry is by the side door, (please press door bell), no steps, then guests may park in the guest garage or leave vehicle outside. There is also a lock box beside entry door for those arriving late plus security camera. Sleeps 5 with a queen bedroom, 2 king singles and a single bed in lounge/living area which can be divided by full length drape providing privacy. All beds have electric blankets with the queen bedroom having a TV, reading lamps, dressing table and side drawers. Great if a couple wants to watch a different tv show than the others. The kitchen is fully equipped & a self serve continental breakfast in the flat is available for a small fee. The lounge has a 50 inch TV, DVD with a selection of DVD's, chrome cast ( Netflix, YouTube etc, stereo & CD player. Free WIFI The bathroom has a heated towel rail, extractor fan, hair dryer, all toiletries & first aid kit. There is a guest laundry with clothes dryer, drying rack, ironing board & iron. Although my partner and I live upstairs the flat is completely private to guests but we are always available. We are located in a quiet & pretty, tree lined, no exit street just 1.9 kms from the CBD, 20-25 minutes walk. 15 minutes to Palmerston North. 2 hours to Wellington. 21/2 to Napier. Serviced daily We go out of our way to ensure our guests have a most enjoyable stay & make them feel SPECIAL. Park View 'Home Away From Home' really lives up to its name.
I'm a bright & bubbly person who makes friends easily. I enjoy hosting guests from all over the world many of whom I keep in touch with. Many of our guests return time and time again with some booking a couple of years ahead. My partner Ian & I moved from Hawkes Bay in 2005 where we owned a 25 bedroom motel. Having renovated our home & downstairs flat, which we keep updating, we began hosting guests in 2006. We both really enjoy welcoming guests to our property & having a chat, looking at photos from overseas guests travels and generally having a laugh. We would look forward to hosting you and making your stay SPECIAL
Feilding is a rural town with a population of around 18,000 people. It is especially popular with those wishing to escape the hustle and bustle of the big cities, retirees, those traveling for the ferry and our property is occasionally used by overseas travelers as a base while traveling round NZ. There is always something happening in the square with monthly food days, Friday Farmers Market, Rural Day, classic car & motor cycle displays & more. Manfeild Stadium and race track is a major drawcard all year round . It regularly holds major motor racing events, stock cars, hot rods, classic cars, equestrian events and twice a year NZs biggest craft fair. There are many restaurants & cafes including Thai, Indian, Vietnamese, Turkish, Murrays Irish Bar, The Farmers Son, Focal Point Cinema just to name a few. Feilding has many parks & walkways, a swimming complex with both indoor & outdoor pools & skateboard area. Mini golf is on the same property. The golf course is just 5 minutes from our place. There are many historic buildings, the largest stock yards in the Southern Hemisphere with guided tours on Fridays , the Coach House Museum, & some lovely boutique shops. Feilding won the Best Town in NZ 17 times!
