Nearby, head on over to the golf club for a round of golf and the local cafes, shops and restaurants are just a 5-minute drive away when you feel like getting some food in the evenings. Travelling further afield, Cooks Beach, Hahei and Hot Water Beach are all just an hour’s drive away and you’ll find plenty of beautiful spots on the way. Just over 2 hours from Auckland, Pauanui is one of the most popular holiday towns in the Coromandel. Pauanui enjoys white sand beaches with a surf life saving club and a number of walking tracks including the Mount Pauanui summit track, which will give you stunning views of the coastline and out to the Mercury Islands.
