This little cottage has all you need to have a peaceful escape. Close to the river and overlooking the mighty Northern Wairoa River, at the top of the Kaipara Harbour. The kitchen is well appointed to create a feast in house. There are no takeaways in our little town so you will need to either cook in house or bring with you from Dargaville that is 10 minutes drive away. Beds are high quality and have excellent quality linen and pillows so you get a beautiful sleep while you are here relaxing. There is a large lawn, feel free to take the chairs from the deck and place on the lawn in the summer and have a picnic if you would like. Great shower pressure and modern bathroom/washhouse appliances and fittings.

We love hosting, we own this house and the large house next door. We will give you as much or as little privacy as you need/want. I am in the other house each day at 10.30am approximately to feed the chickens and ducks. Sometimes they will visit when they get through the fence, depending on their moods and my ability to fix the little escape holes. If you need local advice we are 5th generation Te Kopuru people so will point you in the right direction, we also own the local store, post office and emergency housing units so are really trying to bring Te Kopuru back to its former glory of lovely community. A short walk down the hill will get you to the boating club, boat ramp and wharf, there are pictures of this area in its hey day throughout the home, sometimes we also love the old worn down look of this area as well, but it is a lovely safe place to go for a walk. Also 10 minutes away is the beautiful Glinks Gully, that is where we live, it is the longest driveable beach in New Zealand and is west coast rough but truly beautiful and mostly deserted. You will love it. Kai Iwi Lakes are aobut 15 minutes drive away and also worth a look.
