Welcome to Pōhutukawa Studio, a peaceful standalone cabin tucked on our property beneath a beautiful Pōhutukawa tree, overlooking the Waikareao Estuary and a quiet farm outlook with cows and native birdlife. The cabin is fully private with its own entrance and not connected to our house. Inside, you’ll find a comfortable studio space with a private bathroom, reliable Wi-Fi, and a tea/coffee station for relaxed mornings. Step out and you’re a 2-minute walk from the Waikareao Walkway; it’s also walking distance to Starbucks, a supermarket and local shops, and an easy short drive to Tauranga CBD and Mount Maunganui. Perfect for nature lovers and city explorers looking for a quiet base with convenient access to the best of Tauranga.

We’re long-time travelers who’ve finally put down roots in Tauranga. Along the way we were welcomed by wonderful hosts, and now it’s our turn to pay that kindness forward. We live in the main house on the property and are close by if you need anything, while the studio cabin remains fully private and self-contained.
