Featuring private hot mineral pools that are free and exclusive for guests, Rainbow Motel & Hot Pools offers spacious self-catering units with central heating, fully equipped kitchens and TVs with DVD player and satellite channels. Free WiFi is available. Rainbow Motel & Hot Pools Tokaanu is just a 3-minute drive from Tongariro River and Lake Taupo, both famous for trout fishing. It is a 40-minute drive to the Whakapapa ski area on Mt Ruapehu. Facilities include a gas BBQ with outdoor picnic table, geothermal central heating in winter and cooling fans in summer. Each motel unit has a living area with table and chairs, as well as separate bathroom. 10 minute drive from the Tongariro Alpine Crossing.
