Rainbow Mountain Cottage is a very spacious fully self contained house on our private Farm 20mins from Rotorua and 40mins from Taupo. Very close to thermal parks, lakes, mountain bike trails and everything else Rotorua and the surrounding district has to offer. With a large kitchen dining and lounge this is a great option for people who want to explore the area, stay somewhere with friends and family. The rate pp for this accomodation is very good value. We are have super host status from our hosting. The cottage has 2 bedrooms an en suit and a second seperate bathroom. We are comfortable, relaxed style accomodation, clean and well maintained - however if you want modern and spotless this is not what this country location offers. We breed horses and train horses and also have beef cattle. your pets are welcome upon request and as long as they are well behaved and under control. We are happy to help you decide on the best things to do in the area or leave you in peace and quiet. The night sky is free from light pollution. We don’t have wifi available but the cell phone coverage is excellent from One, 2 degrees etc and there is so much more to do out here.
We love sharing our small bit of NZ with you. We are very happy to show you around if you would like to see the horses and beef stock or go for a walk. We are a working farm and sometimes there is a fair bit going on around here. The accomodation has plenty of parking and a lovely outside area for BBQ and sitting out. Inside is spacious and very comfortable.
We are 5 mins from Waimangu and Wai O Tapou Thermal parks, Waikite Hoy Pools is 10 mins away and there are free thermal pools close by. Rainbow Mountain has a fantastic walk, and Kerosene Creek is on our doorstep. There are great swimming lakes near by too. Rotorua and the bike park are 15-20 mins away and Taupo and Huka falls 40 mins away
