Our farm is located a 30 minute drive from Gore. The unit is quietly nestled next to the pet paddock with the friendly sheep happy for a few nuts. It is a nice private area where you can relax and enjoy the view or nestle in a good book. There are no cafes or people around so if you are ready for some quiet time and to see real life on a NZ sheep farm you have come to the right spot.
Check in is totally remote and you can easily make yourselves at home when you arrive and we are happy to come and meet you when the time is right. We can be busy on the farm during the summer months but we enjoy meeting our visitors from around the world and hearing about their travel plans and adventures.
We are located in the Southland countryside. Waikaia and Riversdale are both a 10 minute drive away and Gore is 30 minutes. Waikaia has a fantastic museum, golf course, shop and hotel and Piano Flat which is a further 10 minute drive has stunning bush walks and scenery. We are a short 20 minute drive to the Croydon Aviation Centre at Mandeville. You need to bring food with you as there are no cafes nearby although the Waikaia and Riversdale hotels do good evening meals most nights.
