Rest, relax and retreat to the Wairarapa countryside. The 'Garden Shed' is a haven furnished and decorated to an uncommon level, charming and tranquil yet just a 3-4 minute drive to the cafes, gallery, restaurants, theatres and parks in Masterton. Take your wine and a seat on the huge deck or ease into the outdoor bath and enjoy your own wee valley resplendent in 50 shades of green. Look up and enjoy the vast galaxy that is the Wairarapa Dark Sky reserve. This is country comfort at its very best. Cook in your own kitchen or let a restaurant do it for you, in nearby Masterton, Greytown or Martinborough. Explore...or do nothing at all. For your added comfort you will also find a Nespresso coffee machine, microwave, Bluetooth speaker, Apple TV and WIFI. Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish and unique space. Plus, just a short walk across the paddock you'll discover the owner's NZ Gardens Trust five star Garden of National Significance. If it's warm you are welcome to enjoy the pool.
We own a garden design company. Our own garden is well known in the region and guests are welcome to explore and enjoy it if they wish. There is also a swimming pool on our property that guests can use.
The property has the best of both worlds. It is on a small working farm but is just a few minutes drive to the town of Masterton with its many cafes, shops, parks, restaurants, museum and aerodrome. Just 30 minutes away is the charming shopping and dining precinct of Greytown, and another 10 minutes will see you in Martinborough, renowned wine and vineyard country. The city of Wellington is a 90 minute drive away.
