The Grange is a self contained luxury Lodge overlooking the picturesque Esk Valley. Enjoy genuine Kiwi hospitality at our tranquil countryside retreat. Wonder at the spectacular 360 degree rural, coastal and city views. Wander through our country garden or explore our lifestlye farm with a walk to our wonderful lookout across to Napier and Te Mata peak . Hike the trails opposite at Esk Hills or ride through the Eskdale Mountain bike park. Only 12 minutes’ drive to Napier and 10 minutes to the Airport. Feel the comforts of home as we tempt you with fine wine, farm produce, baking and preserves. Full breakfast. Evening meals by arrangement. Children welcome.

It’s a wine lovers paradise! Don a third generation Hawkes Bay winemaker with more than 40 years’ winemaking experience is passionate about the wine industry and happy to share his knowledge. Don also hosts various wine tours including a special Gannet Safari / Wine tour combo and full and half day Wine Tours from a winemakers perspective. For non drinkers enjoy a Taste Hawkes Bay tour of the many great food producers of Hawkes Bay. Roslyn is a fourth generation farmer and runs cattle, sheep, milking goats, pigs and chickens on our 10 acre farm. Roslyn also loves to spend time working in her beautiful country garden.

Vineyard walks. There are three wineries within 5 km. Fly fishing in the Esk River or surfcasting from Whirinaki Beach. The Esk River is open from October to April and has Brown and Rainbow trout. For a truly mountain river experience there is the Mohaka river 30 mins up the road towards Taupo. Trellinoe Park Gardens 30 min drive. This is a renowned woodland garden 20 minutes up the valley towards Taupo. River Valley Café 5 Minutes up the Taupo road. Call in here for a coffee or meal.
