Built in 2022 to passive house principles, and furnished to the highest standard, your guest suite, while attached to our home, was designed to be completely separate and private. You have a parking space and access up a few steps to your own private deck, with entrance to your suite through a ranch slider door. Triple glazed floor to ceiling windows provide phenomenal views if you wish to stay inside, and both opening windows have insect screens so you can enjoy the sound of the sea in peace. Refresh yourself in the rain-head shower, then relax in one of our provided bath robes. Sleep in a comfortable Super King bed with quality linen and choice of pillows. Access Netflix and other streaming options, as well as wifi. Welcome the new day with a complimentary sumptuous breakfast and café style coffee from the Nespresso Vertuo coffee machine. You also have a kettle, toaster, egg boiler, (eggs from our own chickens if in lay,) microwave, kettle, and quiet mini-fridge. A 3 course dinner menu is available on site, or restaurants are 20 min drive away in Greymouth or Punakaiki. Just over the road, the beach awaits. This is a West Coast treasure with bountiful rock pools, sea stacks, stunning cliffs and towering hills behind. Your comfort and enjoyment of this space matters to us, so we have not spared cost in preparing this special haven for you. I am happy to welcome you to this special place, but this is not a traditional bed and breakfast where you are in the owner's home and interacting with them. No, instead this is a private space just for you. I am available if ever needed, and happy to interact and give advice about the beach and area, or show you the chickens if you would like to, but I will leave that completely up to you. Apart from welcoming you when you arrive and being available if you ask for me, I will leave you completely alone to enjoy your time at View With A Room in privacy. Have a great stay!

The closest main centre, Greymouth, is 21km to the south, just under a 20 minute drive away. Punakaiki, with the famous Pancake Rocks and Blowholes, as well as the start of the Paparoa Great Walk, is 24km to the north, also a 20 minute drive. While there are a few houses in the area, the star of the show here is NATURE! Look out to a wild beach, or behind you to towering hills. Look out for dolphins, seals, starfish and other sea creatures, as well as native birds all around. Note that we are not in a main centre - the closest shops and places to eat are 12 and 20 minutes drive away. If you prefer dinner with a sunset view right here, our delicious, homemade and locally sourced dinner menu of entrées, mains and desserts will keep you happy! Just bring your own wine.
