Marevka is located about 300 meters off the main road, down a dirt path through the jungle. It’s unpaved, with no street lights, and can get muddy after heavy rain—so be sure you're comfortable riding a motorbike or scooter in these conditions. It's all part of the island experience—embrace the adventure! If you need to rent a scooter or book a transfer from the airport, please inform us ahead of time so we can set it up for you. A few things to keep in mind about our neighbourhood: 🌿 Tropical setting – Our housekeeping team does a great job, but you're in the tropics! That means you might see a few island visitors like bugs, geckos, or even the occasional crab on a moonlight stroll. It’s all part of Siargao’s wild charm—think of it as sharing paradise with nature. ⚡ Power interruptions – One of the charms of Siargao is that it’s still a bit off the grid. That also means occasional power fluctuations or outages lasting several hours can happen (note that the water pump does not run during power outage). For eco-friendly reasons, we don’t use a generator, but the villa is equipped with emergency rechargeable lights, a solar-powered fan and a bucket of fresh water to help keep you comfortable. 🔨 Temporary construction – Siargao is growing, and like many parts of the island, our area isn’t immune to it. You may hear occasional noise during the day. Our current rate reflects this temporary inconvenience—you're getting a better deal while still enjoying all the beauty, comfort, and tropical vibes Marevka has to offer.
