The Villa is a completely restored building called by the first owners Panorama, constructed in the beginning of the XX century. If you wish to visit me, you will see yourselves that the name is adequate to the sights spreading around. The Villa was built by Lieutenant of the 6th Kaniowski Uhlan Regiment- Jakub Potaśnik, the struggle combatant of the war against the Ukraininan and Bolsheviks. Over the Nazzi-occupied time, the Villa was a transfer point for Hungary and an underground hospital, where among others was treated Krystyna Więckowski aka Zawisza (since 1943 a commander of ZWZ-AK District in Nowy Targ), and later the Commander of the Home Army Division 'Wilk' stationed in the region of Turbacz-Kiczora in Gorce. At a later point in time, the Villa Panorama was occupied by Michał Słowik-Dzwon (born January, 18th 1907 in Szczawnica, died August, 27th 1980 there) a poet and playwright, amateur, self-taught, regarded as the most prominent Pieniny poet, thanks to whom in 1954, during the sanitation works of a health resort and widening Główna Street, one of the oldest Szczawnica's chapels,which dates back in 1871, was located in Villa Panorama.
