Welcome to Casa do Cabeço! We are Chantal, Tijmen, and our children, Everly and Joe. We can't wait to share our home and a little slice of tranquillity with you. Our home offers two spacious bedrooms/studios available for guests, along with a shared cozy sitting room where you can read a book, play a game or simply unwind as if you were at home. Step outside and take in the breathtaking views across the mountains. Our outdoor seating platform is the perfect spot to unwind and soak in the beauty that surrounds us. Casa do Cabeço is nestled at the edge of the picturesque village of Alombada, in central Portugal. We're easily reached via the A25 and IC2 roads, and just about 55 minutes from Porto Airport. Our home is surrounded by 8000m² of private land, with paths to wander, places to sit, and plenty of little terraces where you can simply enjoy the view or listen to the birds. It’s especially serene here – the kind of place where time seems to slow down. We share our peaceful place with some friendly animals two lovely dogs, four cats and chickens. They’re all part of the family and add to the charm and life of the place. Whether you love walking, cycling, or simply enjoying nature, there are plenty of trails and quiet spots to explore. The winding road to Alombada snakes up and down the beautiful mountainous landscape. Just five minutes before you arrive, you'll cross a little bridge at Parque de Lazer da Alombada. It's the perfect spot to pause, dip your feet in the crystal-clear river, enjoy a picnic, or simply soak in the peaceful surroundings. If you want beautiful beaches, Costa Nova and Barra are only 30 minutes away. Our local town is Albergaria and is great for shopping. The larger cities of Aveiro and Agueda are both worth a visit. A little further out, the area of Sever do Vouga is absolutely worth exploring. It’s known for its lush greenery, peaceful walking trails, and charming villages. One of the highlights is the stunning Cascata da Cabreia in Silva Escura, a beautiful waterfall surrounded by forest, with picnic areas and walking paths. It’s a magical spot for nature lovers and a great little adventure for couples and families alike.
