Olhão is a small town located in the Algarve's leeward, and is known as one of the best Portuguese cities to eat fish. Whitewashed houses and narrow alleys make this town a typically Algarvian town. Nearby you have access to the boat that takes you to the most beautiful beaches such as the Island of the Lighthouse, Armona Island or even the Island of Culatra. Fuseta Island is also an excellent beach where you can take a boat that takes about 10 min. All the beaches of Olhão have a blue flag. The Blue Flag is a symbol that ensures beach quality based on environmental standards such as water quality and beach cleanliness, as well as important facilities including toilets and lifeguards.
