Mr. Manuel is one of those men who seem to be made of wood, having worked with it for over 40 years! Robust, simple and full of stories to tell. Born in Santana, he knows every corner of the mountains, every secret of the Laurissilva and every tradition of this land. With his hands calloused by his craft and his heart shaped by life in the countryside, he dedicates himself to carpentry as if he were making art: doors, furniture and windows come to life in his small workshop, with the smell of fresh wood in the room; you might even see a piece of work in the shape of the island of Madeira, handcrafted! Friendly, hard-working and always ready for a chat.
