JOSY Lodge is a bright and welcoming place, defined by its striking 8-meter-wide glass front that floods the interior with natural light. The spacious living area with a fully equipped high-end kitchen opens generously into a sunroom that invites you to relax and unwind. With two double bedrooms, one bathroom, and a large open-plan living and dining space, JOSY Lodge is perfect for families or friends traveling together. In front of the sunroom lies a large wooden lounge terrace, which extends to a beautifully maintained garden with lush grass and greenery. This entire outdoor area is sheltered and fully fenced—ideal for families with young children. The modern concrete floors are fitted with underfloor heating throughout, ensuring warmth and cosiness even on cooler days. The bathroom features both a bathtub and a walk-in shower, along with a window that provides fresh air and natural light. Both bedrooms are designed with minimalist clarity and comfort in mind, offering a serene and restful atmosphere. A private parking space is included with the property. Inside, the design follows an open-concept layout: everything is modern, bright, clean, and cosy. No visual clutter.

We’re a family of five from Hamburg, Germany, and our story with Ferrel began in 2015, during a long T4 Bulli tour across Europe. We visited many beautiful places, but only Ferrel gave us that instant “home away from home” feeling. We loved it so much, we got married on the cliffs of Almagreira Beach in 2017 — our way of saying “yes” in every sense. And in 2024, we lived here for a full year, finally experiencing Ferrel through all seasons. With so many friends wanting to visit — and our house always full — we asked ourselves: where should they stay? When homes next door became available, we expanded and created JOSYHouses. 3 unique homes, close to each other and all curated with a special and individual touch. Today, whenever friends and family aren’t here, we open JOSYHouses (JOSY Manor, JOSY Lodge and JOSY Atelier) to guests who love this place just as much as we do.

What makes Ferrel so special? The people. Friendly, open, and respectful — a balance we deeply appreciate. The surf culture, the creative community, and the mix of locals and internationals make this village feel truly alive. Ferrel is as far removed from mass tourism as possible. Unlike typical holiday towns, Ferrel thrives year-round: cafés, yoga studios, restaurants, and surf schools stay open, and the vibe stays real — even in winter. The climate is near perfect: 300 days of sun, rarely above 28°C, fresh Atlantic air, and unforgettable sunsets.
