Rabaçal Nature Spot Cottage is a heaven on earth dedicated to those seeking a one-of-a-kind hosting experience deeply embedded within Madeira’s emblematic Laurisilva forest, an indigenous forest consecrated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Originally built as a refuge for the man who carved the levadas into the rock during the 19th century, the house was later repurposed into a forest outpost and shelter. Today, transformed into a serene café that caters to nature lovers, and into a refined rejuvenation of an elegant rural accommodation. Offering four individual bedrooms and a cozy communal space with a private balcony, it unveils mesmerizing views of the valley's splendor. There is an additional exterior family room (annex) that borders the outdoor terrace. The coffee shop operates between 10h00 and 18h00.

The Cottage is isolated within Rabaçal's valey, standing far from the main urban areas with limited access to the main road. It is located at a c. 30/40 minute walk from Miradouro do Rabaçal and the main road with access by car. Parking near the house is limited and can only be allowed upon reservation and confirmation of availability. Alternatively, there is a municipal shuttle between the house and the main road, operating between 10h00 and 18h00 (subject to ticket purchase). Please note that while our rural accommodation offers a unique experience, it's important to be aware that you'll be in a remote location without surveillance. We highly recommend ensuring you have the necessary physical and health capabilities for your stay. We do not recommend walking late on the trails or levadas as there is no artificial lighting, increasing the risk of injury.
