Häradssätter Gård is a small-scale farm just ten minutes from the coast in Valdemarsvik. We offer accommodation with all the amenities in a picturesque and tranquil environment. The farm has big pastures where the cows graze summertime and is surrounded by oakwoods teaming with wild life. The lake is just a short walk away if you want to take a swim or the rowing boat to go fishing. Häradssätter is a great base for you to explore the attractions of Östergötland and Småland.

We recently left the big city for a country lifestyle. Kim (my better half) and I fell in love with the farm Häradssätter gård with its incredible views, ancient oak trees and amazing gardening possibilities. Our goal is to have a small hold with chicken, peacocks, sheep, goats and other grazing animals to keep the pastures open.

Östergötland is beautiful! The farm is in the south of Östergötland just off the border to Småland. We are just 10 minutes away fromJust beyond our woods you can find lovely hiking trails, notably Östgötaleden. Take a leisurely stroll or go for a real hiking adventure along the 1200 km long trail. In Valdemarsvik (9 km away) you'll find all necessary facilities like shops, restaurants, banks, Systembolaget (liquor store) and the tourist centre. The archipelago of Gryt and Tjust in Valdemarsvik are only 28 km away and offer a great day out! There you can enjoy some of Sweden’s mot unspoiled islands, perfect for swimming, sunbathing and fishing. If you fancy some golfing you can visit a beautiful 9-hole golf course in Gryt. The idyllic small town of Söderköping is about 25 minutes away and well worth a visit. Kolmården, Sweden’s largest wildlife park is about 90 km away from Häradssätter. You can take a daytrip to In Astrid Lindgren´ s World in Vimmerby (110 km away) and meet the much loved storybook characters. The best way to get around in the area is by car. There is a bus station in Valdemarsvik. If you need it, we will help you with transport to and from town.
