Because Öland is so flat, it is considered the ideal island for cycling. The valley of Mörbylånga invites you to take beautiful walks and cycle tours. The nature of the Stora Alvaret limestone plain is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit Eketorp Castle, the windmills in Lerkaka and the castle ruins of Gråborg and Lenstad Borg or the castle ruins of Borgholm. The nature reserve in Beijershamn is probably Öland's best place for birdwatchers, along with Ottenby. Haga Park has the largest beach in southern Öland, where windsurfers also get their money's worth. Accommodation is not suitable for groups of young people.
