We're a small business that only do rentals during seasons. Our place is mainly a small recreational retreat place, and we rent out our guesthouse Annexet when we don't have retreats at the farm.

Welcome to Orrabackens Annex in beautiful Järvsö! Some historical facts: Our Hälsinge guest house is part of the former Bed & Breakfast -Orrabackens Pensionat. Not only has it served as a B&B in the past, this farmhouse is mainly known for its 3 generations of Tailors, The Uhlins, who lived and worked here on the farm. With their atelier and shop in the mainhouse, and their private housing in the Annex. The Uhlins were the first in the village to own a car, and also the first (and only for a long time ) with a telephone. This house is suitable for couples, families, friends, colleagues- pretty much anyone who wants a personal stay in this vibrant village. We can offer comfortable rooms, out door gym, yoga mats, some free weights, table tennis, a sauna and a zen garden. We also have a fitted ceramics studio that can be booked with our host Sofia.

Neighbourhood information

Welcome to our haven! Here at the farm you can relax and recover. Just outside the guesthouse you have access to beautiful woods with hike trails, bike trails and gravel roads. A short walk from the house you have the river Ljusnan with a small beach and pier where you can go for a swim. If you prefer a tarn, you have a nice 2,5 km hike to Kramsta tjärn. Only a few kilometres away you have the small Järvsö center with grocery shop, Bike hire, ice cream parlor, a fantastic creperi and also Lanthandeln which is a must if you're a foodie! Wintertime this is a wonderful place for winteractivities like xc skiing, alpine skiing, snowshoe safari, snowskido touring and randonee on our small mountain Järvsöbacken. The hosts live in the house next door.
