Company information

We are originally from Stockholm, but dreamt about building and running a BnB, so we left the capital and came to this beautiful place. You might also run into our very social farm cat and maybe hear our dogs great you when you arrive.

Property information

Backadal Gård opened summer 2022 and is beautifully situated amongst fields and farms, yet only 5 minutes from the charming city of Ystad. Most Österlen sights are within 20-30 mins drive from the property. The BnB offers 6 brand new guest rooms, all with en-suite bathrooms of high standard. There is a charging pole available for electric cars. You can also rent bikes from us (contact us in advance to secure your bike rental). Many original details from the stable which was once there, are preserved and thoughtfully incorporated into the decoration. Backadal Gård offers a nice seating area in the traditional patio between the farm buildings, where you can enjoy your breakfast or just hang out in the evening. Guests can enjoy free coffee and tea in the common room where there is also a common fridge with a shelf for each room.

Neighbourhood information

Backadal Gård is situated just outside the city of Ystad, in the small village of Öja. Öja has a lot to offer, despite its size. Within walking distance you will find a padel court, zumba, an interior design store and cafe and Öja krog which offers summer concerts, a night club and an outdoor bar. The surroundings are beautiful for walking or running. Ask us for tips. Ystad is within walking/cycling distance (4-5 kilometres) and just 5 mins by car. Ystad offers many very good restaurants, shops and sights.
