Långnäs Manor (Långnäs Herrgård in Swedish) is owned and managed by the Backlund family. We live here on the property where we offer two short-term rentals: Visthuset (fully equipped self-catered cottage) and the West wing (quadruple deluxe room).

Visthuset is a historic larder from the 19th century, i.e. a building intended for storing food. It was moved to its current location at Långnäs Manor in the late 19th century or early 20th century. Unfortunately, the original location is a mystery to us. In 2004, the daughter and son-in-law of Långnäs Manor's former owner began a careful renovation of Visthuset which then became their permanent home until 2010. After this time Visthuset had the opportunity to charm even more people when it began to be rented out to visitors to Hofors. Visthuset is fully equipped for self-catering for four people. Downstairs there is a kitchen with dining room and a bathroom with shower. Upstairs there is a bedroom with a Euro King size bed (160 x 200 cm) and storage space as well as a chaise longue sofa and smart TV. Outside this room, right next to the stairs (please note that the stairs do not have a railing), there is a sleeping alcove with two smaller single beds (85 x 185 cm). A door allows for some privacy between the two sleeping areas. On the terrace there is outdoor furniture and a barbecue grill. Rental of the entire cottage (for up to 4 people) is included in the rate. Vehicles can be parked free of charge right by the cottage. Guests are also welcome to use our garden.
