Welcome to our B&B in Rindö Hamn – a place that we, Inger and Jonas, have happily and thoughtfully taken over as of 1 December 2025 and now run together as a married couple.

Rindö Hamn has a distinct military-historical character that has been carefully developed into a vibrant archipelago setting with residences and local businesses. Our B&B is located on the top floor (second floor) of the former military hospital, which has been renovated and upgraded since 2019. The accommodation is unmanned and based on self-service, offering you freedom, simplicity, and a peaceful stay at your own pace. We offer eight bright and spacious rooms, some with a generous ceiling height of approximately four metres, creating a wonderful sense of space. Two of the rooms, "Generalen" and "Amiralen", have private WC facilities, while all guests have access to well-maintained shared shower rooms and WCs in the corridor. Pets are warmly welcome, but limited to two specific rooms: "Kaptenen" and "Översten".

Our peaceful and scenic location on Rindö, just a short distance from Vaxholm, is perfect for those who want to experience the very best of the Swedish archipelago. Here, beautiful coastal landscapes, rich military history, and genuine archipelago culture come together. Our guests especially appreciate the tranquil surroundings and the close proximity to both nature and local attractions. The Rindö Hamn area originates from the former Coastal Artillery Regiment, dating back to 1907. The old barracks buildings have been converted into residential housing, complemented by newly built homes. In the harbour you will find the popular restaurant Syrran & Jag, the award-winning Rindö Ostmakeri, well worth a visit and Waxholms Brewery, which at certain times of the year offers beer tastings and sales. There are also opportunities for creative activities, such as painting, offered in the same building as the Bed & Breakfast. Rindö features scenic, seaside walking paths and plenty of swimming spots within walking distance of the harbour. The island is also home to two historic defence structures: Oskar Fredriksborg Fortress and Rindö Redutt, both built in the 19th century. Just across the strait on Värmdö is Fredriksborg Fortress. From Rindö, you can easily travel by the ferries operated by Waxholmsbolaget or by the road ferry from Rindö Smedja to Vaxholm, often referred to as the capital of the archipelago. In Vaxholm, you will find charming wooden houses, water always close by, a cosy atmosphere, and a wide selection of shops and restaurants. You can also visit Vaxholm Kastell by boat, explore the fortress museum, or enjoy the bistro located in the castle courtyard.
