Hello, we are a family of four living in this house - me and my wife are both working in Ljubljana, commuting or from home, with our son in high-school and daughter engaged in local tourism. We are all active internationally and have travelled a lot and seen different lands and cultures and learned to appreciate our local, alpine one very much. We want to share its riches with many guests who typically just fall in love with Martuljek and our nature. We enjoy hosting people from all over the world and making them feel at home. We are always happy to chat with our guests, give them tips and recommendations, and help them with anything they might need. We also respect their privacy and space, and let them enjoy their stay at their own pace. We love nature and outdoor activities, such as hiking, skiing, cycling, and swimming. Our apartment is located in a quiet village Gozd Martuljek on the edge of the forest, in the valley of the river Sava Dolinka. This is a beautiful area, rich in natural and cultural attractions. You can enjoy relaxing walks by the water and in the forest, which start right from our doorstep. If you love hiking and climbing, you will find plenty of trails and routes in the vicinity, ranging from easy to challenging. You can also visit the stunning Martuljek waterfalls, the picturesque Zelenci nature reserve, or the historic ironworks in Jesenice. Our location is also ideal for exploring the region, as we are close to the ski center of Kranjska Gora and the beautiful Carinthian lakes, which offer you more opportunities for fun and adventure. You can also easily reach the highway, which connects you to Austria and Italy, in 20 minutes, or the airport in 45 minutes. You can visit the charming towns of Tarvisio and Monte Lussari in Italy, or the scenic mountain pass of Wurzenpass and the lake of Faaker See in Austria. You can also discover the cultural and historical heritage of Slovenia, such as the medieval castle of Bled, the alpine museum of Mojstrana, or the capital city of Ljubljana. It is possible to taste the three cultures touching each other in this unique part of Alps. Our neighborhood has everything you need for a convenient and enjoyable stay. The shop, restaurant and bus station are within walking distance, just 100m from the apartment.
