We are a young family that enjoys working with guests and literally living with guests under the same roof. With the help of the family, we take care of the house and its surroundings, our fields, gardens and orchards. Most of the food and drinks served to our guests are carefully harvested with our hands. We are curious and eager to learn as much as we can; so when time allows us, we like to travel too; on foot, by motorhome or plane. Our purpose and our desire is to make our guests feel at home :)

As a member of the Houses of Tradition, the Želinc Tourist Farm provides a rich holiday experience in a homely Slovenian environment. Situated on a plain stretching around the confluence of the rivers Cerknica and Idrijca and hidden behind a carpet of treetops, the Farm will welcome you with its easy-going style in a delightful landscape. Prepare for relaxation! Your taste buds will be spoiled by superb home-grown and home-made dishes, prepared by the skilful fingers of mother Marta and her son Jernej. These delicious dishes will be complemented by top-quality Slovenian wines, while you can also try home-made brandies and liqueurs or home-made cider from the fruits of our 70-year-old apple tree. You will be awaited by high-quality comfortable rooms with a relaxing view of the Idrijca River. And although you may be far from home, you will feel right at home.

It is not only the nature that surrounds and enriches our immediate and more distant surroundings. Staying at our farm will also give you the opportunity to get to know a piece of rich cultural heritage in the immediate and more distant surroundings. Not far from the Farm, you can visit and experience the Slovenian cultural heritage of the Idrija and Cerkno region kept at museums, holders of European awards, i.e. Antonijev rov, a tourist mine shaft and the Idrija lace centre, or the very much alive in customs and habits, such as “Cerkljanska laufarija”, and live folk art, or you can simply let the road take you to warm-hearted and open-minded people. Everyone looking for an outdoor adventure cannot miss the beauties of Posočje, Bohinj, Bled and the famous Postojna cave. Lovers of good wine are recommended to visit the beautiful Goriška Brda hills and the special Vipava valley. If you feel an urge for some seaside adventures, follow the road to the Slovenian coast, which will by no means let you down with the splendour of old cities and salt works.
